Why I Created the Optimal 101 Series of Workshops?


As a former Arvigo® Self Care Teacher, I spent ten years teaching about Mayan Healing practices based on abdominal massage and other modalities. In those workshops I always touched on topics like painful periods, fibroids, prolapse, post-partum, scars, breasts, miscarriage, ect. but never had time to really go more in depth.

 

That is my goal in these workshops to go into more detail about what I believe about each of these symptoms that many of us experience and struggle with. I myself suffered, when I was younger, with horrendous periods and that is what ultimately led me to Chinese medicine.  


Western medicine does not give us many options, particularly, as it pertains to women’s health. It is typically the pill or surgery. Another aspect of that is they consider some symptoms normal and inevitable. Nothing could be further from the truth. For example, we are always told that painful periods are normal. This is absolutely not true! The pain is a message. Deciphering that message is the key to healing and true healthcare.

 

The easiest thing we can do to make big changes is to stop the COLD, which is why my first workshop is called Cold: How it Damages Your Health. Of course, since our whole lives we have been drinking ice water, icing injuries, walking on cold floors, etc. We don’t know or understand the ramifications to our digestive and reproductive health. It takes a bit to wrap your head around.


The last few years I have been tutoring English and I speak to many Chinese women who always ask me, “why do Western women drink ice water?” Don’t they know it will cause painful periods and affect their fertility? On the contrary, did you know the most Googled thing about China is, why do Chinese people drink hot water? Asians go everywhere with a thermos of hot water. There are hot water dispensers most places. It always makes me laugh how we ask the opposite questions.


There is a bit to explaining the why cold is not a good idea. Hence, the workshop and a page of resources so you can delve into it further. Sometimes we need to question are programming. It is my hopes that I can start you on that journey.


When I broke my wrist four years ago, I refused to let them pack it in ice, I used a famous Chinese formula Zheng Gu Shui instead. Ice locks the injury in and can cause more problems in the future. The doctor in the hospital thought I was crazy but he was open to learning.


I encourage you to invest an hour listening to this first workshop in the series that I have made available for FREE because I feel so strongly about the fact that the easiest way to make a change in our health is stop the COLD.

 

I have a whole series of workshops now to cover many topics. My goal as I said is to educate you and provide different options. You really can take your health into your own hands. It’s not always easy and it might take some time and most likely a paradigm shift but the reward is knowing that you can optimize your health and help your family and friends.
